I’m really knocked out by the response and interest that folks have shown for the stories that I’ve been sharing every Thursday about my early experiences as a professional musician, thank y’all! It’s a pleasure to honor lesser known musicians who influenced me and fun to reflect on the first 20 years my career, I never imagined that I’d amass so many wild tales to tell. Some of you have suggested that I write a book.
For the first time ever, my audience has inspired me to create something tailored made for them. I don’t have time to write a book but I have time to turn this whole thing into a new series called ‘Shiloh Saloon Stories’.
The show is filmed at my private saloon, ‘The Shiloh Saloon’ and every episode features me sitting at the bar having a beer and a smoke with you while telling a great story. You’ll find out about famous musicians that you’ve probably never heard of and the early days of my career as a musician leading up to where I am in 2021. It’s candid, unrehearsed and as real as it can possibly be.
The first episode premieres next Thursday and will be centered around Wichita Kansas Bluesman and my Pop, Berry Harris. I hope you’ll join me for what I think will be an entertaining and intimate way to preserve more music history. Catch ya at the saloon honey.
