Matt's new album, 'The Midnight Strain'
Matt's third full length studio album, 'The Midnight Strain', is now available on Full Bloom Records. Eleven new songs that are tangled in a soulful web of R&B with detours into Country, Pop and Rockabilly, drenched in the passionate vocals, biting guitar and clever songwriting Matt is known for. There's a dreamy, psychedelic and at times swampy atmosphere to this record and it's one that Matt feels like he couldn't have made a decade ago. The growth is evident even compared his previous work, the critically acclaimed, 'Life After Rock N Roll' (2017).
"'The Midnight Strain' takes the listener on a one-way tour through the hardships that we are all challenged with at various times in our lives - the ones that are so looming and difficult that they keep us tossing, turning and up worrying late at night. The album's theme delves into this heavy strain on the soul, magnifying the ridiculous distractions that keep us from happiness and living a once cherished simple life in this fast paced world.
